two pages Porto exhibition
2017 vai já quase a meio e eu ainda com a sensação que estou em Março! Se por um lado é óptimo sinal, sinal que estou com muitos desafios em mãos, por outro lado é (um bocadinho) assustador, porque começo a perceber que há pouco tempo para dar resposta a tudo que tenho em mãos/mente.
Há meses que os fins-de-semana se misturam entre trabalho e paragens obrigatórias e este fim-de-semana não foi excepção. Sábado todo o dia no Mercado Porto Belo e no domingo obrigámo-nos a parar e a desligar. Depois de um brunch (delicioso) nos Maus Hábitos houve ainda tempo para ver a two pages Porto exhibition, a propósito dos European Design Awards, que este ano tiveram lugar no Porto.
E que exposição incrível!
Depois de falar da minha obsessão por diários, pelo incentivo que estes podem dar à criatividade, esta exposição não poderia vir em melhor altura.
Ilustradores, artistas e designers de todo o mundo participaram na criação destes cadernos e posso garantir-vos que há páginas incríveis.
O espaço - o silo auto - pelo seu lado urbano e pela própria disposição, enquadrou-se na perfeição.
A participação portuguesa esteve muito bem assegurada, pelas mãos do André da Loba, Carolina Celas, Júlio Dolbeth, Mariana a Miserável, Mariana Sameiro, Rui Vitorino e R2 Design (peço desculpa se me escapou mais algum!).

2017 is almost halfway and I still feel like I'm in March! If on one hand it’s a good sign, a sign that I have many challenges ahead on the other hand it’s (a little bit) scary, because I begin to realize that there is little time to respond to everything I have/want to do.
There’s months in which the weekends get mixed with work and mandatory stops, and this weekend was no exception. Saturday we spent in the Porto Belo Market and on Sunday we had to make ourselves stop and disconnect. After a delicious brunch at Maus Hábitos there was still time to see the two pages Porto exhibition, regarding the European Design Awards, which this year took place in Porto.
And what an amazing exhibition!
After talking about my obsession with diaries, and the push they can give to creativity, this exhibition couldn’t have come at a better time.
From everywhere ilustrators, artists and designers joined the creation of this notebooks. I can assure you there´s some amazing pages.
For its urban side and the layout itself the space chosen - o silo auto – was a perfect match.
The Portuguese were very well represented by André da Loba, Carolina Celas, Júlio Dolbeth, Mariana a Miserável, Mariana Sameiro, Rui Vitorino e R2 Design (sorry if I’m forgetting some!).
